		<description>THE MOST ROMANTIC PINK (2024)

conceptual theatre, music
A collaborative work between Noëmi Hofstede, Menno van den Ende and Esra Westerburgen. The most romantic pink is a view on modern love, dating and specifically a zoom-in on the moment where a relationship does not seem to work anymore, and one has to detach from the other.&#38;nbsp;Noëmi · LIVE RECORDING: THE MOST ROMANTIC PINK - ACT I

		<description>“Sorry Corrie, ‘t was voor m’n moeder” (2024)

Cardboard Sculpture

Diana Gerritsma tekent door middel van interviews de verhalen van de oud-bewoners op. De organisatie koppelt makers aan oud-bewoners. Ik kies het verhaal van Corrie.&#38;nbsp;

 Wat me zo aan haar verhaal aangreep is het gegeven dat de fysieke kindertijd van haar zoon is verdwenen. “Hij was nog maar net droog achter de oren, het huis uit, en hup, toen kwam de sloop..”&#38;nbsp;Voor dit werk stelde ik me voor hoe het geweest zou zijn, opgroeien in een appartementje waar de kieren en gaten in de muur zaten. Alles slecht onderhouden is. Ik zocht naar symbolen van huiselijkheid; een piepkleine keuken, met geblokte tegen vloer, iets op het aanrecht was nog afgewassen mocht worden. De speelkamer van een jongen schilderde ik blauw met een grote papieren auto. “Klaar voor het avontuur!” grapt een van de bezoekers nog. Het klopt wel. Om die reden maak ik de achterwand zwart. Alsof we door het sterrenstelsel kunnen reizen. Vervuld van onze dromen.&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;In de berging staat nog een kinderfietsje. Hij is er eigenlijk al uitgegroeid. Toch doen we ‘m nog niet weg. En een spiegel waar niemand iets mee moet.&#38;nbsp;

		<description>WHO TRULY STUCK THE KNIFE IN FIRST? (2024)

Sculptural installation;
 pillow knife,
discoball droplets

‘Who truly stuck the knife in first?’ explores blame and pain. It delves into the pain that develops during a relationship and the coping mechanisms surrounding it. Is there ever one to blame? Since most pain we carry around is intergenerational. In the end, drawing the conclusion that there is no singularity in blame; all parties are culpable. Love is a two-way street; it takes two (or more ;)) to tango.
Who did what? Which behaviors and childhood pains were triggerd? Such dynamics often involve a play between victim and perpetrator. Perhaps to heal we could speak on responsibility rather than blame.

		<description>Doppler (2021)
Performance

Curious about the sounds that are hidden inside of the body, I ordered a doppler off Marktplaats and went on an exploration.&#38;nbsp;

There is more to say about this - the female body and her sounds;&#38;nbsp;
the breath, the digestive system, the womb - the connotation with pregnancy and the female body is undeniable.&#38;nbsp;There is something vulnerable in this quest of searching.

 I love the idea that life is already inside you.
“We make life” but we are also life. We seem to forget that.
The heartbeat of the mother helps us remember.

Unscripted&#38;nbsp;vocal performance (broken polish)In the video ‘Mother_Tongue’ I make an attempt to rekindle that what is lost.&#38;nbsp;

To all who are bilingual, who live in a foreign country, whose families reside somewhere across borders, and who wish they spoke to them more often. Language is at the core of everything we do, think, communicate, and feel. It is an irreplaceable part of our lives. And losing one's mother tongue is like losing a part of oneself. Often accompanied by shame, regret, sadness, and frustration.

		<description>Dust Mites (EP)

Field Recordings
Lyrical Improvisation
Vocals

Play is an important part of my practice. During the first covid lockdown there wasn’t a lot of play happening. The first thing you do in a crisis is recallibrate. Eventually the dust settles down and the heart start longing again; please.. play! So I did. Returning from Norway where I first delved into the ‘new media’ arts, playing around with ableton, I challenged myself. With the world being locked-down, the silence became a known visitor. Who is she? What sounds does she carry along with her? How does she make me feel? and what is going on inside of me? With little to no equipement accompanying me I started to feel, listen, record, play. What can I do with as little as possible? Completely undress the process: one song from one recording per day.&#38;nbsp;
