Experimentele Project Weken, Pictura
The ever-growing dress is still growing.
December 2023 I came to a sewing class with a clear vision in mind. I wanted to make a dress that was so large that, if i performed in it, people would have to sit and step on it.
During the course of several weeks, the dress indeed grew larger and larger. Until I had no more space in my studio to work on it.
Thankfully I had the oppertunity during the “Experimental Project Weeks” at Pictura to expand the dress a little further. And show her progress to the world.
She remains an ongoing project, even though she has outgrown my sewing skills. Due to the mere size of the dress.
